The guide
Animal powerscaling
Powerscaling is ranking how strong fighters are so you can settle who would beat whom. Animal powerscaling does it for real animals, with real evidence: size, weapons, armour, speed, stamina and behaviour. Animal Battle Stats rates 344 animals on six battle stats on one absolute 0-100 scale, ranks them from S tier to F tier, and turns any two of them into a "who would win" prediction. 344 have full research profiles citing 3,836 sources.
The power scale, S to F
Every animal gets a power index from 0 to 100, and its tier comes from that number. The scale is absolute, not pound for pound: a bigger animal scores higher for its size, as it would in a real fight.

How an animal is scaled
Each animal is researched from scratch and rated on six battle stats. The power index weights them like this:
- Attack28%
- Defense25%
- Agility16%
- Stamina14%
- Special10%
- Intelligence7%
Ratings describe a healthy adult of the larger or fighting sex. Matchups compare the weighted stats and add a body-size term, so a heavyweight keeps its edge; group fights ("100 men vs a gorilla") let numbers count, less so against a much heavier opponent. How the ratings work

Questions
What is animal powerscaling?
Powerscaling is ranking how strong fighters are so you can settle who would beat whom. Animal powerscaling does it for real animals with real evidence: size, weapons, defenses, speed, stamina and behaviour. Animal Battle Stats rates 344 animals on six battle stats on one absolute 0-100 scale and ranks them from S tier (Apex) to F tier.
What is the strongest animal in the world?
By overall fighting power, the Orca is #1 on Animal Battle Stats with a power index of 87.9, ahead of the Megalodon (87) and the Sperm Whale (83.8). By raw attack alone, the Megalodon leads with 100. The Megalodon is extinct and is rated from fossil evidence.
What is the strongest land animal?
The Sperm Whale, #3 overall with a power index of 83.8 (S tier). Sea creatures take the very top spots because of their size.
Is the ranking pound for pound?
No. Ratings are absolute: a bigger, heavier animal scores higher for its size, the way it would in a real fight. They describe a healthy adult of the larger or fighting sex.
How does Animal Battle Stats decide who would win?
Each matchup compares the two animals' six weighted battle stats and adds a body-size term (8 × log10 of the weight ratio), on a logistic curve that keeps one-on-one odds between 5% and 95%. A 50-50 matchup is a draw. Group fights (100 men vs a gorilla) are supported too.
Who would win, a lion or a tiger?
The Siberian Tiger, 68% of the time in the Animal Battle Stats model (slight edge). See the full breakdown at https://animalbattlestats.com/compare/siberian-tiger-vs-african-lion.
Can fans disagree with the rankings?
Yes. Every animal can be voted underrated or overrated, and every matchup can be called. The fan votes are shown next to the stats, and corrections with sources are welcome.
